Lahonton Reservoir Area, Nevada

When I think of Nevada, the Sierra Nevada Mountains and landscapes of contrasting colors come to mind.  The Lahonton Area fits this description well.

This is Rod…he was kind enough to give my daughter, her family, and me a tour of the area.

Even though this is the first time I ever visited this part of Nevada, I was struck with its quiet, yet calming beauty.

A narley tree weathered with time.

Dried dirt that looks like a paper map, where the cracks in the ground look like the lines of rivers.

Tiny house living, a 100+ square foot home.

It was a beautiful day roaming around and taking in the soft rolling hills surrounding Lahonton Area.

Would I go back again?
