The Dresdan Plate pieces on the right were done by another person and given to me from a friend. To hold the Dresdan Plate pieced circle in place on the white square, I used an Elmer’s Glue Stick on the back. The Elmer’s Glue Stick is water soluble and will come out in the wash. Over the last few weeks, here and there, as I have had time, I’ve been working on the button hole stitch to place each Dresdan Plate on an individual block.
I placed each 16.25″ square on the flannel board in my sewing cabin, made a 3″ sashing, and began sewing this top together this weekend.
This is what the top looks like so far. I plan on adding a border or two…or maybe even three…to finish the sewing for what will be a cute single bed quilt.
Hope you’re having a good Memorial Day Weekend!
