I put this little wall hanging together at the beginning of September to take on a trip. The blocks are machine sewn with antique fabric in the triangular pattern called Jacks on Six.
I like using this square plastic tubing as a quilt frame. This is the progress I’ve made so far!
The hand quilting in the main section of the quilt has been completed since I took this picture!
I have the border to quilt, then I’ll put the binding on the edges, and this wall hanging will be done!
Hope the pieces of your life are coming together for you.
Go Big Or Go Home is a saying in the Pacific Northwest usually used to refer to sporting events. Today, I am using this saying to introduce the latest quilt set up in the quilt room: A Double Wedding Ring Queen Size Quilt!
This quilt takes up most of the quilt room! I had to do a bit of maneuvering (and crawling under the quilt) to figure out how to fit the quilt on the 12 foot quilt sticks, but I have a plan. Let’s hope it works out!
This quilt will be a challenge to finish! I found the hand pieced top at a garage sale. I’m using Warm & Natural Needled Cotton Batting, a cotton whole cloth of cream colored fabric for the back, and white and yellow quilt thread.
Truly, I’ve been missing having a quilt set up in the quilt room…and having something for my fingers to be crafting and designing.
I’ll keep you updated on the progress!
I’m sending best wishes your way from our sunny and 79 degree/27 Celsius Autumn day!
